Ballet

The Royal Academy of sylabus offers the oppertunity to sit examinations in classical ballet suitable for everyone from young children starting out in dance classes to students aspiring to become professional dancers. There are no upwards age limits on any examinations or presentation classes and a syllabus has been designed for both male and female candidates at all levels.

Modern Street Dance defies a single permanent definition. This is largely due to its ability to adapt, develop and evolve with the changing fashion in dance. Through a carefully planned and well-tried examination syllabus, which combines modern dance, street dance, jazz, contemporary and other dance styles, young people are trained to become disciplined and versatile dancers who have a professional attitude towards dance. The commercial dance technique is complimented with body conditioning, which involves stretching and toning exercises.

A series of class work has been created and compiled by Catriona which encompasses elements from the current trends in dance as well as elements from ISTD, BTDA and UKA sylabi. The examinations in this sylabus is varied from medal tests, class test and examinations.
